Liza is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist holding licensure in New York and New Jersey. She is also a New York Department of Education certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) and NJ Department of Education Speech Language Specialist (SLS).
Liza earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at The George Washington University. Liza has experience working in a variety of private and public schools as well as home based and private practice settings with extensive experience treating a wide range of communication disorders across all ages. Liza is trained in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) Levels I and II, PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Social Thinking and Judy Hochman’s Teaching Basic Writing Skills. She also has extensive experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices (AAC).
Liza believes that connecting with each child and understanding what motivates them is instrumental in bringing about the most effective results. She tailors all treatment modalities to meet each child’s unique needs. Liza’s sessions incorporate engaging activities personalized to your child’s interests making targeting their speech and language goals a fun and dynamic experience.
When she’s not helping her client’s improve their communication needs, Liza enjoys trying new restaurants and walking along the Hudson River with her baby boy and husband.
